Reproductive Systems

  In our body, the Reproductive Organ Systems includes both the male Reproductive System and the female Reproductive System that each share the same basic organization and many other physiological processes, factors, properties and characteristics pertaining to reproductive.
  In our body, the major organs (genitalia) of our Reproductive Organ Systems include the external genitalia (penis and vulva) as well as a number of internal organs including the Gamete producing Gonads (Testicles and Ovaries).

Reproductive System Functions

  In our body's urogenital system, the major function of the Reproductive Systems is to ensure survival of the species. Other systems in our body, such as the Endocrine and Urinary Systems, work continuously to maintain homeostasis for survival of the individual. As an individual we may live a long, healthy, and happy life without producing offspring, but if our species is to continue, at least some of us must produce offspring. *

Reproductive System Function

  In our body, within the context of producing offspring, the Reproductive Systems has four functions divided between the primary organs and the accessory organs (secondary organs):

• To produce egg and sperm cells
• To transport and sustain these cells
• To produce hormones
• To nurture the developing offspring

Primary Reproductive Organs

  In our body, the Reproductive Systems the primary reproductive organs (gonads), consisting of the ovaries and testes (male primary reproductive organs), which are responsible for producing the egg and sperm cells gametes, and for producing hormones.
These reproductive hormones function in the maturation of the reproductive system, the development of sexual characteristics, and regulation of the normal physiology of the reproductive system.

Accessory Reproductive Organs

  In our body, the Reproductive Systems the accessory reproductive organs (secondary organs) including both the female and the male (male accessory glands) are all other organs, ducts, and glands that contribute to the reproductive system including structures that transport and sustain the gametes and nurture the developing offspring. **

  In a man's body, the Male Reproductive System (Male Genitalia) are the genitalia consisting of essential glands, organs and their fluids that function to produce a new baby (reproduction).
  In a man's body, the Male Reproductive System (Male Genitalia) consists of a pair of testicles and a network of excretory ducts (epididymis, ductus deferens (vas deferens), and ejaculatory duct), seminal vesicles, the prostate gland, the bulbourethral glands, and the penis.

“Female Reproductive System (Female Genitalia)”  

Female Genitalia (Female Reproductive System)

  In a woman's body, the Female Reproductive System (Female Genitalia) produces and sustains the female sex cells (ova, or egg cells), transport these cells to a site where they may be fertilized by sperm, provide a favorable environment for the developing fetus, move the fetus to the outside at the end of the development period, and produce the female sex hormones.
  In a woman's body, the Female Reproductive System (Female Genitalia) are the genitalia including both the external and internal glands and organs.

In a woman's body, the external organs (vulva) include the clitoris and the bartholin's glands, the internal organs include the vagina, ovaries, uterus, and fallopian tubes.
