  For our body's cells, Cell Death is the final termination of the physiological processes of those biological functions required to sustain a living cell.
  In our body, there are a few ways in which cell dies it may be induced to commit suicide, such as in apoptosis or autophagocytosis (autophagy) or it may be killed by an injurious agent as in necrosis. *

“Apoptosis (Programmed Cell Death, PCD)”  

Apoptosis

  In our body, Apoptosis (Programmed Cell Death, PCD) is the natural occurring programmed death of a cell, that controls normal development and homeostasis, which follows a structural biochemical events that lead to the cell changes (morphology) and death include: blebbing, cell shrinkage, nuclear fragmentation, chromatin condensation, and chromosomal DNA fragmentation.
  In our body, Apoptosis (Programmed Cell Death, PCD) produces cell fragments (apoptotic bodies) that phagocytic cells engulf and quickly remove before the contents of the cell can spill out onto surrounding cells and cause damage

“Necrosis”  

  In our body's cells, Necrosis, is a pathologic process characterized by the premature death of cells and living tissue. Necrosis is caused by factors external to the cell or tissue, such as infection, toxins, or trauma.
  In our body's cells, the Necrosis, pathological process is caused by a progressive, uncontrolled action of degradative enzymes, leading to mitochondrial swelling, nuclear flocculation, and cell lysis.

In our body, the seven (7) distinctive morphological patterns of necrosis are:

coagulative necrosis liquefactive necrosis (colliquative necrosis) gummatous necrosis

hemorrhagic necrosis (haemorrhagic necrosis) caseous necrosis fatty necrosis (fat necrosis) fibrinoid necrosis.

“Autophagocytosis (Autophagy)”  

Autophagy (Autophagocytosis)

  In our body's cells, Autophagocytosis (Autophagy), a catabolic phagocytosis process and form of cell death, is the segregation and degradation of damaged or unwanted cytoplasmic constituents by autophagic vacuoles (cytolysosomes) composed of lysosomes containing cellular components in the process of cellular digestion.
  In our body's cells, the catabolic process, Autophagy (Autophagocytosis) is a major mechanism by which a cell, in a nutritional deficient state, reallocates nutrients from unnecessary processes to more-essential processes.

In our body's cells, Macroautophagy (Autophagy) is a multi-step process, that maintains cellular homeostasis via the degradation and recycling of long-lived proteins, intracellular aggregates as well as damaged organelles, requires the intervention of about 40 proteins and leads to the formation of a double membrane structure, called a phagophore.
