“Cysteine (l-Cysteine)”  
L-Cysteine   In protein science, l-cysteine (Cys/C), as a proteinogenic amino acid, is a thiol-containing neutral amino acid, which under oxidizing conditions, two cysteines can join together in a disulfide bond to form the amino acid cystine (l-cystine).
  In our body, Cysteine, this non-essential amino acid has a sulfur atom (S) that binds readily to heavy metal ions helping the body to rid itself of poisonous materials; in the liver, it helps detoxify carcinogens and harmful chemicals, and as a result protects the brain and its functions.


  In our body, Cysteine is a precursor to the free radical scavenger glutathione. Cysteine is helpful in the treatment of arthritis, boosts the immune system, and is found to improve skin texture and flexibility.
