  In our body, Chemokine Ligands (CCL Gene Family), aka Chemokines are a receptor ligand group of cytokines, consisting of small proteins (usually ~70-80 amino acid residues), that attract & activate leukocytes and may act as inflammation modulators (inflammation mediators).
