  In botany, Hemicryptophyte is one of Raunkiaer Plant Life-Form categories of plant life-form schemes based on the plant, usually perennial plant, whose perennating buds are at soil surface (ground level), with aerial shoots dying down at the onset of unfavorable conditions.
