Nitrate

  In chemistry, Nitrate, is a monovalent inorganic nitrogen oxyanion, that may be formed from the salts and esters of nitric acid compounds (both inorganic or organic), containing the NO3- radical (a reactive nitrogen species).
  In our body, Nitrates [N2O3]รขห†โ€™, can be converted to nitric oxide (NO) by an enzyme catalyzed oxidation-reduction or anhydrase reactions.
  Examples of nitrates include:
  • diethanolammonium nitrate
  • ethanolammonium nitrate
  • ethylammonium nitrate
  • nitrate salts
  • triethanolammonium nitrate
  • nitric acid (a conjugate acid of nitrate)
