Mycota (Mycology)

  Mycology is the discipline of biology devoted to the study of the Fungi kingdom (fungus). Historically, Mycology was regarded as a branch of botany, although today through genetic studies we know that Fungi (fungus) are more closely related form of life to the Animalia kingdom (animals) then to the Plantae Kingdom (plants).
