  In our body's cells, Peptide Receptors (Peptide Hormone Receptors) are cell surface receptors that bind peptide messengers with high affinity and regulate intracellular signals which influence the behavior of cells.
  As a gene group, the peptide receptors are in the the A rhodopsin-like Peptide receptors of the G protein-coupled receptors class (GPCRA family), in the G protein-coupled receptors gene group (GPCR genes) of the 7TM proteins (seven transmembrane proteins).
