Exudate Fluids

  In our body, an Exudate is any fluid that filters from the Circulatory System into lesions or areas of Inflammation.
  In our body, the composition of an Exudate Fluid generally includes water and the dissolved solutes of the main circulatory fluid.

Body Exudate Types

  In our body, there are four (4) types of Exudate Fluids: catarrhal exudates, fibrinous exudates, the purulent or suppurative exudates, pleural effusions, and the malignant pleural effusions (cancerous pleural effusions). *

  In our body, Transudates are fluids that pass through a membrane or squeeze through tissue or into the extracellular space (intercellular space) of tissues. Transudates are thin, watery substances containing a few cells or proteins. *
